Hi All,
  This Tuesday we will work on the following:

Landscapes
FSS  Mvt 1 only
Cowboys
John Williams Symphonic Marches
  - I will have the parts for the Olympic fanfare on Tuesday night

On the 26th we will run the full Norton park program.

Back to work

Hi All,
  Happy Mothers Day to all of our mothers.  I hope you all enjoyed some time today with and thinking about loved ones.

  On Tuesday we get back to work.  We will keep our current tunes fresh and add in one or two new ones.

We have 2 more performances to go:

June 2 - Norton Park
July 18 - Lake George

Looking forward to making music again.

NO Rehearsal this week

  Just a reminder that there is no rehearsal this week.  We will meet on 4/28 for our final Dress rehearsal, with our concert on May 3rd at 2:00, at PHS.

Rehearsal 3/31

Hi All,
  Here is whats in store for the next few rehearsals:

3/31 we will concentrate on the first half:
     Landscape
     Incantation and Dance
     Folk Song Suite
     Cowboys
     and anything else we can fit in

4/7  we will concentrate on the second half
     Resplendent Glory
     Arabesque
     On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss
     Where Never Lark nor Eagle Flew

4/14  we will run as much as we can and clean up the last few things

(4/17 dont forget the Spring Fling dance with the Jazz Band)

4/21 - no rehearsal

4/28 - Dress Rehearsal

5/3  CONCERT - 2:00 pm at PHS

Then on to the concert in the park and Lake George!

Rehearsal 3/3/15

Hi all,

  Last rehearsal we made great progress in starting to balance out the different sections in the band. Most of this wad accomplished by several factors:

   - not over playing

   - "mf is a soft dynamic"

   - relaxing in the technical spots (triplets, runs, etc.)

This week I want to continue that work and progress with:

Resplendent Glory - we will apply everything we worked on to the end section

Cowboys

Where never Lark nor Eagle Flew

  While we all are either loving or hating the snow and cold I hope we can agree on one thing - I cant wait for rehearsal on Tuesday.  Tuesdays are my favorite day of the week because I get to make music with you folks.
