Norton Park Concert CANCELLED
Hi All,
Mother Nature has done it again. Because of the wet and Cold we will not have our concert tonight. Please make sure you will be at rehearsal next week. Time away from this music makes us vulnerable to careless mistakes. See you on the 13th and then on the 24th.
Thanks
Ken

Great Concert!!!!
HI All,
Thank you for a great concert last night. What a joy it is to get to make music like that. Special Kudos to Maureen for her performance of the poems. That added a nice touch to our performance. We have this week off, but will continue rehearsals next week to prepare for Norton Park and the Simsbury band festival.
Thanks for all of your hard work,
Ken

14 things to NEVER say to your band director:
14 things to NEVER say to your band director:
- Are we playing today?
- But it’s easier for me to finger it this way.
- We had a concert last night?
- My private lesson teacher said that’s wrong.
- Can I go make up a math test during band class today?
- I do better when I don’t use a metronome.
- I only want to be in band if I can play drums.
- I can’t play flute today – I hurt my ankle.
- I forgot my instrument. Again.
- I have a pencil. It just doesn’t have any lead.
- Wait. I have to take my horn home? Every day?
- It sounds better when I play it with the whole band.
- I know it’s chipped and moldy, but this is the only reed I have.
- Do we need our instrument for the concert tonight?

Rehearsal 2/21
Hi All,
Thank you for your flexibility and work in sectionals tonight. It is my hope that mother nature will no longer impact rehearsals and we can finally get down to business. Hopefully with some fresh air this week we can all get rid of the bugs that have been cooped up on our houses and get well. I look forward to seeing everybody for a full, well attended rehearsal next week.

NO Rehearsal tonight. 1/31/17
Hi All,
For tonight's rehearsal I would like everybody to have a 1 person sectional. Woodshed some of those parts that are giving you trouble. We'll put it all back together next week.
Lets hope Mother nature changes her routine of Tuesday storms. Stay safe and warm tonight.
Ken
But with this I could come pick everybody up for rehearsal. Kathie, can you order me one?
