Hi All,
I hope you are enjoying a renewing holiday season with family and friends. As we look to say goodbye to 2016 and welcome in a new year, I am eagerly awaiting the start of our new concert season.
On Tuesday we will read through the entire program to orient us to our new music. Here is the Concert order:
Canticle - Prologue
Canticle - Brother Sun
Sunrise at Angels Gate
Sun Dance
Into the Sunset
Canticle - Sister Moon and Stars
Do not go gentle into that good night
Dusk
Night on Bald Mountain
Canticle - Epilogue
I will also be experimenting with different seating arrangements to see how it can effect our sound. Some may find themselves in the same seats, some may find themselves on the other side of the ensemble. We will see what works.
Enjoy the new years weekend. See you all on Tuesday.
Ken

Board members: the meeting will be at the Middle School at 6:15 sharp.
We will need folks to help set up the cafeteria chairs at 6:30 and someone in percussion to pick up the percussion bag.Thank you in advance! -k-

Great Concert
Hi All,
Thanks for a great concert last night. The whole concert was solid, across the board. I hope you had as much fun playing as I did conducting. For an interesting look, check out Zoni's live feed on Facebook.
I am looking forward to our winter concert with PHS. That should be just good fun. Then its on to our spring concert music which is another special program.
See you on Tuesday.
Thanks again for a great concert.

Rehearsal 9/20/16
HI All,
On Tuesday we will finish reading the rest of the tunes for the concert and begin detailing the other music. Still to read are:
America Forever March
The Homefront
Armed Forces Salute
There are many solo's in this concert. While I want to share the wealth and make sure that everybody gets a chance at a solo it they want, there are a few solo's that I want to be able to select the soloist. This is mostly to match the soloist to the sound I want to create. The following solos I will audition, while the rest can be decided among the sections:
Flutes - Star 3-12, Journal for a soldier 44-50, Eternal Father 29-38
Clarinet - Journal for a soldier 44-50
Alto Sax - Eternal Father 29-38
Trumpet - At Dawn they slept 61-71, Eagles Flight 126-133
I will do these audition after rehearsal on next week. Please let me know if you have any questions.
See you Tuesday night.

16 - 17 Concert Programs
Hi All,
I hope you all are enjoying your summer. I am jealous of the people that got to play some of our spring concert again at Lake George. However, I am already gearing up for our concerts for next year. Below are the programs, with YouTube links, so that you can get an idea of the music we will be doing. Enjoy. I'll see you at our first rehearsal in September.

Hi All,
The weather almost held off last night. What we did get to play I thought was really well done. There were some musical moments last night that we haven't had in a while. Thanks you all for being open to this concert idea. I am already looking forward to starting up in September.
For those going to Lake George, the first rehearsal will be on the 21st. For those not going, I'll see you in September.
